Now that I am married...
things feel complete and content.

Where did you get married?
Wise Winery in Dunsborough WA.

What did you do for your hens party and Tim do for his bucks party?
Both of us had separate parties at our respective best man and bridesmaid house – it was so much more intimate and fun.

How many days before your wedding day did you have off?
1.5 weeks – I wanted to be fully rested.

Was there any time throughout your wedding planning that you felt stressed?
Just at the beginning when we needed to book accommodation and I wanted one particular place and they were getting full so I was a bit panicked but it all worked out.
Ooh and also deciding who to/not to invite – I must say there was a few arguments there - he he.

Who helped you to plan your wedding?
Of course my husband and I shared our thoughts on what we wanted. A very good family friend Beau Meakins helped us put it all together and he was just amazing.

What was the theme and colour scheme for your wedding?
The colour theme was lemon and white - it is such a great colour and looks AMAZING in the photos.

What was the easiest part to organise for your wedding?
Venue and date.

Did you have a budget for your wedding and did you stick to it?
Not really – we had a rough figure in mind but if we went over this we were not too bothered – our overall budget was very reasonable and it could easily be done.

How many guests did you have at your wedding?
66.

What was your beauty regime in the lead up to your wedding?
Hair, spray tan, nails and waxing. I also had eyelash extensions done – they looked great and made my eyes “pop” in the photos.

How did guests get to your wedding did you supply transport or did they take their own?
We supplied transport – we hired a 55 seater bus to pick everybody up from Whalers Cove and take them to the winery and then drop everybody back off again once the night was over – great idea.

Who went with you shopping for your wedding dress?
My mum and my bridesmaids.

When did you start looking for your wedding dress?
9 months before the wedding.

Something old, something borrowed, something new, something blue what were these items?
My nana’s old vintage ring & a blue garter.

What were the first words your mum and dad said to you when they saw you in your wedding dress?
You look absolutely magnificent.

How did you decorate your wedding ceremony?
We had white chairs and a white carpet to walk up, petals were scattered at the front on the grass where we stood and I had our florist make up to big black vases of all big tall yellow, green and lemon flowers and they sat either side of myself and my husband during the ceremony – they looked beautiful.

Describe what happened at your ceremony?
I didn't want the ceremony to drag on for too long – in total it went for about 20-25 minutes. I had 2 readings during the ceremony and then it was mainly about us saying our vows. We also had each set of parents stand up and give their blessing to the marriage – it was a great way to involve them.

Did you say traditional vows to one another or write your own?
Traditional – they meant so much more  to us than writing our own.

Why did you choose Wise Winery as your wedding venue?
The views are breath taking and the venue has such an amazing reputation and I have to say they did not disappoint – they were absolutely amazing in every way AND value for money.

How did you decorate your wedding venue?
A very good friend of mine who is also an event planner did the entire reception venue – we hired chandeliers as centre pieces as I wanted it to be all about the lighting and ambiance – I didn't want to go with flowers as they just didn't fit my theme. The drop chandeliers sat on a squared mirror with tea lights on each corner of the mirror and for the final touch we scattered lemon rose petals crystal scatters around each mirror on the table.

What happened at your reception?
It was just such an amazing reception. The speeches were short and sweet and then my mum had a song played to me “take care of my baby” and all my family were serenading Tim and I – every woman at the reception was in tears – it was beautiful.

What was the style of catering at your reception?
Stand up Cocktail canapes for the entree and the a sit down meal for the main course & dessert.

Best moment of your wedding day?
Walking up the aisle to my husband to be.

Describe the look and flavor of your cake, plus any other desserts that were served?
I had lemon cupcakes for each guest and then a main cake on top for us to cut. For the dessert we had Vanilla Panacotta with Berry Compote.

What were the bonbonnieres for your guests?
Each guest took away their cupcake in a lemon bag as well as a wedding CD of all our favourite songs, 1st dance song, aisle song etc…

Did you make anything for your wedding?
I did the CD’s for each guest for the wedding.

Your wedding photographer was Pete from Real Image Photography what made you initially choose Pete and how did he perform on the day?
When I originally called Pete he actually offered to come to our house and show us his work (which no other photographer actually offered to do). When we met him we just had a great feeling from him – his work was great and he was just a genuine nice and down to earth guy – we immediately booked him. On the day Pete was absolutely amazing – so many people commented how great he was – he got all my guests laughing in the group shot and included them all – he was absolutely brilliant.

How do you feel now that your wedding is over?
I feel fine – I never got the feeling of OH NO it’s over – we took in every minute and it was the best wedding ever that we just appreciated the whole thing from start to finish J

Were did you honeymoon?
We didn't really go on a honeymoon – we just spent a few days down south after the wedding.

Advice for other planning brides?
Enjoy every minute of it – from the planning right down to the big day. It’s not worth getting stressed over the little things – I was really chilled throughout the whole process and so things went according to plan!

When you look back what would you have done differently on your wedding day?
Absolutely Nothing!

Any compliments about your wedding?
My guests were telling me it was the best wedding they had ever been to – full of fun, laughter and love. You could really feel the energy in the room – it was such a fun wedding.
