Bertha and Arther - Interview with the Bride

How long have you and Arther been together and when did you decide to get married?
2 years and decide to get married after we engaged on 5 of May 2009.

What was the theme and colour scheme for your wedding?
Sea theme.

Where did you get inspiration for ideas for your wedding?
Arther because he like's diving.

What was the hardest part to plan for your wedding?
Nothing.

How many guests did you have at your wedding?
7.

Details about your dress and accessories:
Arther choose the material for me crinkle silk chiffon, Beata from Chein Noir Designs and I designed the dress with lace and small flowers of roses on one shoulder, there is a split until my knee and at the top of the split there is roses and pearl, swarovski crystals beads and diamontyon the back, button up and some lace. Accessories a chocker with pearl and swarovski crystal beads and head piece with feather and swarovski crystals beads and pearl.

When did you start looking for your wedding dress?
4 month before the wedding.

What flowers did you carry?
White to Pink Calla Lilly.

Who did you have in your bridal party?
All the family as they come from overseas.

What were the decorations at your ceremony?
Two balls made from shell and calla lily flower.

What did your guests do after your ceremony while you and Arther went off and had wedding photos?
Chitchat and write a wishing card. I made a jar for the card and inside the jar I put beach sand and some shell.

From the look of your wedding photos there were many great places to go and have wedding photos?
A good photo come's from a good eye for photography.

Why did you choose M on the Point as your wedding venue?
I love the place, the food and their hospitality and the it matched with my theme.

What happened at your reception?
We laughed about the weather, small rain in the morning and turned into a storm. No dancing just family interactions.

What were the decorations at your reception?
A shell candle holder, bombonieres on the table, place name card with shell holder, I had a wine glass in the shape of a tube, napkins with bride and groom character and a flower.

What food was served at the reception?
Restaurant specified menu, yummy.

Best moment of your wedding day?
God give us a special gift, rain on the day.

Describe the look and flavor of your cake, plus any other desserts that were served: 
Two tiers mud cake (homemade), torquise and white color, some shell and a cheeky bride pinching a groom on the back side.

What were the bombonieres for your guests?
Shell plate and shell wine topper.

Your wedding photographer was  Lighthouse by Cyrus what made you initially choose Cyrus and how did he perform on the day?
I saw his work at the expo and contacted him to arrange a meeting and see more of his work. Cyrus does a lot of natural photo's, which Arther and I dont like posing for photo's.

How do you feel now that you are married?
Happy.

Were did you honeymoon?
Jakarta, Indonesia.

Advice for other planning brides:
When you decide to get married,  make sure you make your own plan 1st and know what you want before you ask other people their advice. As it your wedding day not their's!
