Are you a local couple of Kalgoorlie and how did you met?

We were both born in Kalgoorlie only a month apart. We met in Kindergarten but didn't formally meet until the end of yr 9, we started dating a few weeks later when we were 14.

Why did you get married?
It was a mutual decision really, being together since we were kids we knew it was something we would do. We also already had a baby girl, we always knew we'd get married.

What did you do for your hen’s party and Thomas for his buck’s party?
We both took trips to Perth with our friends on separate weekends. My husband and his groomsmen went on an all day beer tour which they loved and did alot of fishing (that's what I've been told anyway)
Myself and my bridesmaids/friends had an all day Swan River and horse wagon wine tour, and then had drinks and general hens night happenings at my bridesmaids house in Perth.

Was there any time throughout planning your wedding that you felt stressed?
Not really, only when my bank account was getting lower and lower.

Who helped you to plan your wedding?
I had some help from my bridesmaids, they were always helpful in giving me ideas about colours, dresses and jewellery.

What was the theme and colour scheme for your wedding?
Black and white with a little bit of red.

Where did you get inspiration for ideas for your wedding?
From my bridesmaids and my head. But my husband helped pick things like the colour scheme and clothing.

What was the hardest part to plan for your wedding?
Figuring out who was coming, people never RSVP.

Did you have a budget for your wedding and did you stick to it?
We tried to not get a loan for anything and paid for as much of our wedding as we could ourselves. My parents and my husbands parents chipped in a bit which was very helpful, but all in all we stuck to the budget.

How many guests did you have at your wedding?
80.

Details about your dress and attire:
Mori Lee strapless dress with a black waist sash.

Who went with you shopping for your wedding dress?
My bridesmaid Jill, we didn't actually go shopping for my dress but just popped into the local wedding store to look at dress designs for my bridesmaids. But while we were there I thought we might as well have a look, and it was the first dress I tried on.

When did you start looking for your wedding dress?
Not until about 3 months before the wedding.. I know, I left it a bit too long,  but I got lucky and got one off the shelf that fit perfectly.

What flowers did you carry?
I had white lilies and red roses, bridesmaids had white lilies. My daughter who was our flower girl threw red roses.

Tell me about the running of the day what time did you start preparing etc?
I met my bridesmaids at the hair dresses about 9am, where we had our hair and make up done. Meanwhile the boys were playing golf. By 11.30am we were all done with the hair and make up and went back to my bridesmaid house to get ready and get some pre wedding photos done. We left for the ceremony about 3.15pm and the ceremony begun at 3.30pm. After the ceremony was finished about 4.15pm we went to get our lovely photos taken and then were off to the reception at 6pm.

How did you decorate your wedding ceremony?
We kept it pretty simple. We had white tulle and white chair covers with black sash's.

What song did you have as you walked down the aisle?
My father in law Stuart played live music at the ceremony on his electric guitar, he played "Little Princess" By the shadows as I walked down the aisle.

Did you say traditional vows to one another or write your own?
We had our celebrant say some lovely vows for us.

What happened at your reception? Any funny or meaningful stories?
My daughter making a tiny little speech to Mummy and Daddy. Held by her Aunt Nicole she said into the microphone ""Love you mummy, love you daddy" in front of 80 people, too sweet.

What was the style of catering at your reception?
Finger food. We didn't want a sit down meal, we wanted everyone to feel free to move around and mingle with different people.

Best moment of your wedding day?
Getting the first kiss from my lovely husband, but also going home after an extremely exhausting day.

Describe the look and flavor of your cake?
A 3 tier cake, each tier was a different flavour. The bottom tier was black, the top was white and the middle was black and white marble.

What were the bombonieres for your guests?
Didn't have any.

Your wedding photographer was Jade from JMJ Photography what made you initially choose Jade and how did Jade perform on the day?
I am currently a photographer myself and was very picky choosing a photographer. I picked Jade because she has a beautiful and modern style of photography and I was constantly impressed by every photo I had seen of hers. I couldn't of asked for a better photographer. On the day she fit in perfectly with everyone, she made us feel at ease since we all had never had professional photos done before. She made the day wonderful for us and I am so pleased with my photos.

How do you feel now that your wedding is over?
Very relieved that the financial stress is mostly over now, but a bit sad that its over. It was great to see all of our friends and family that we otherwise don't get to see often.

Were did you honeymoon ?
We haven't yet to gone on our honeymoon. At the moment it has been too hard to get away as our little girl has only just turned two. But we plan on going to somewhere, maybe Singapore as soon as we can.

When you look back what would you have done differently on your wedding day?
Probably nothing, it was a great day.

I would like to thank....
My Mum Eda and Dad Graham, my Mother in Law Helen and Father in Law Stuart, my fantastic bridesmaids Nicole, Jill, Stacey and Kaylea, our groomsmen, David, James, Darren and Robert, everyone who had to travel to be there for the day, Goldfields Party Central for being so helpful, Josie's creations for my Beautiful and YUMMY cake, JMJ photography for my unreal photos, and to everyone else who made it for the day.
