Farren & Jarrod's Sparkling Aravina Estate Wedding

Wedding Ceremony: St Joseph's Church, Busselton
Wedding Reception: Aravina Estate, Yallingup
Interview with the Bride
Jarrod and I were engaged on February 15 2014, so I had 11 months before our wedding day. We didn't have a set budget although were conscious of keeping costs down where we could go with 90 guests and 8 in our bridal party.
I started looking for my dress about 8 months before the wedding. I loved the embellishments, sweet heart neckline and long train.
The Church was chosen as it was always a dream of mine to be married in a church and my parents were married in the same church 37 years ago which was also something special. Both our Mums lit a candle at the beginning of the ceremony to represent both families. Our ceremony was 3pm and canapés for guests started at 6pm at Aravina, with the formalities scheduled to begin at 7pm.
Jarrod and I shared the organisation of the day and he was very much a part of the decisions that were made. Jarrod and I searched in the area for a reception location and fell in love with everything about Aravina Estate.
Jarrod's sister was our photographer and Jarrod's mum made our wedding cake and cupcake tower. We also had 2 cousins and a friend read during our ceremony. My sister Tineke was my maid of honour, Jarrod's brother Kallan his Groomsman and my cousins Ashlee, Jessica and Karis were my bridesmaids.
Vicki from Wez Enterprise and Naandi from Essence decorated the church and function room at Aravina, with flower arrangements and table decorations to match our theme. The flowers in my bouquet included white amarantsh, dusty miller foliage, peach roses, white dahlias, off-white cream roses and hot pink anemones.
We had a sit down meal, although Jarrod, myself and the bridal party informally entered half way through our guests canapés so we could mingle with them for half an hour before being formally introduced as "Mr and Mrs Sutton".
Advice for other brides planning their wedding?
Enjoy every moment of day as it really does go so fast. Also let whatever happens on the day - happen, even if it isn't exactly to plan. Take a moment as a married couple throughout the evening to sit back together and look at all your friends and family together in one room, all for you. It's pretty special. Chances are it may never happen like that again.
Our wedding photographer Carley was amazing. She was very relaxed which helped ensure us as well as our bridal party enjoyed the experience on the day. She has an amazing ability to capture special moments and images in creative ways, with attention to detail. Carley had a second shooter, Anna Rees, and she complimented Carley extremely well and also captured some special shots.
