Yes, the clear marquee is all the rage at the moment for wedding receptions and looking at these photos you can surely see why. The one benefit I really love about the clear marquees is you can have that outdoor experience and not have to worry about the weather. If it starts to sprinkle at night or if it gets a bit chilly during the evening you and your guests are covered.
Jody Parry of Southwest Event Studio planned, styled and setup this stunning glasshouse marquee for a recent clients wedding.
Jody said" This was a true collaboration between myself and another collegue to maximise the benefits of having a Bling ‘Glasshouse’ Marquee with timber flooring. We developed a concept of having the main dining marquee with clear ‘skins’ on and a sea of fairy lights and bridal ceiling floral install with diamond lights, with an adjacent ‘structural’ open dance floor – with a seamless integration between the 2 structures. The benefit of having the structural dance floor is that you can hang all of your lighting, festoons, fabric etc – no need to hire trusses, poles etc. Clients could choose just to have a structural dance floor if they were not wanting a marquee at their chosen venue – it is really beautiful and unique."
We love it, well done.
