Interview with the Bride

We were engaged for nearly 2 years before we got married. We started planning 18 Months out. We had 122 guests including Corey & I and no kids after the ceremony. With everything for our wedding it cost between $35,000 - $40,000.

I started looking for my dress 1 year before the wedding. I loved my dress because it had a detachable tulle skirt so it gave two different looks for the day and then there was the detail on the back of the dress.

Roses, peonies, chrysanthemums & a bit of greenery was in my bouquet. I choose these from looking at photos that were similar styles I liked on Pinterest.

My mum and sister originally came across Aravina. As soon as they saw it they new Corey & I would fall in love with it, and that we did.

Our wedding day was very relaxed with the girls getting hair and makeup done starting at 9.00am then heading to the Aravina Bridal suite to get into our dresses around 2.30pm. Our ceremony was at 4.00pm which my cousins sand as I walked down the aisle. The ceremony only went for about 20 minutes which was perfect for us.

Our celebrant Josie Arnold told our guests how she felt when she first met us and also when she asked us what we loved about each other in our first meeting with her which was really special.

We had a friend of ours do a reading about love which was so beautiful, we also surprised our mum's with having them as our witnesses when signing the documents.

After the ceremony our guests went to the balcony at Aravina Estate to have canapes and pre-dinner drinks while listening to the wedding singers sing acoustic.

They also had photos in front of the flower splendour wall.

The chandeliers in the ball room at Aravina Estate had me straight away, they are just breath taking in every way.

We had lots of toasts during our speeches, we were over whelmed with how beautiful the speeches were from our parents and our bridal parties.

While doing our first dance we had a slideshow of our pre-wedding shoot photos behind us on the projector, this was really special to us because they had our little boy in them. Also took the lime light away from our dancing.

My advise for other brides and grooms - Im happy to say I wouldn't have done anything different, we saved money by not having to hire a stylist as our florist did all of it. Also didn't have to hire a planner as the wedding co-ordinator at Aravina did everything for us.

My advise would be to stay organised and on top of everything, don't stress the little things.
