Tanika & Graeme's Bunker Bay Farm Wedding
Interview with the Bride
We got engaged while traveling and decided we wanted to push our wedding back so we could buy our first home and be settled. We decided on 11.11.17 and stuck with our guns. So about 3 and a bit years. In regards to our budget we did go over, but to be honest we didn't have a certain set budget. We just knew we didn't want to be ridiculous.
We had 105 people at the wedding and had only nieces and nephews at the ceremony. No children to the reception.
Our gifts for our wedding party - Groomsmen: they received a Armani Exchange watch and Ralph Lauren sock to wear on the day. Bridesmaids: they received gowns to wear while getting ready, their earrings, a Mimco clutch to use on the day, thongs and a lipstick (also to be used on the day)
I started looking in January for my dress, and ordered it by the end of January. I loved my dress the moment i picked it off the shelf, it was the last store we went to. I loved how it hugged my figure and the detail on the dress, it was everything I had pictured. I still am in love with it now!
We looked at so many venues and could never agree. When I stumbled across the farm I knew it was going to be the place. The moment we saw it we knew it was for us. Relaxed and chilled. The view is just incredible.
We had a reasonably strict timeline, our ceremony started at 3:30pm, but I think I arrived at 3:25pm as I was too excited. We had a good friend of ours do a special reading for us, and we asked both of our only Nan’s to be our witnesses which is something we both will treasure.
After our ceremony we had 30mins for family photos and then we were off having our own photos.
I would say our wedding was very minimalist, simple and elegant vibe. The view was enough and we didn't want to take away from that.
We wanted a very relaxed style wedding as that’s us as couple. So we chose to have lounges and bar tables. Being an outside wedding we wanted to feature our view and the farm.
There are not enough words to describe Ros and Steve of Blakeney Photography. They are incredible. I knew I wanted them the moment I found them back in 2015. I have never felt more comfortable and relaxed in front of someone before.
I would recommend them 100000000 times over. We cannot thank them enough for the most incredible photo’s and for making our day a great laugh.
