Interview with the Bride

We gave ourselves a good 12 months to plan our wedding day.  We had 101 family and friends on our special day. I had a brother and cousin in our bridal party. My mother made our wedding cake. Matt's sister was our hairdresser. Matt organized the suits, helped with picking the food and wine and input into our music selection. He also helped make our decorations.Just having family and friends there on the day was enough contribution.

The location for our marriage ceremony was at Lake Cave in Margaret River they had only just opened the deck for private functions in November 2013 when we were looking at venues and when we went to check it out, we just fell in love with it. The scenery is just breath taking and was no need for decorations as it is truly a natural beauty. Our ceremony was at 3pm and finished by 3:30pm. During the ceremony we made mention of how we met, how Matt proposed and just incorporated a few personal details in our vows (just tried to keep it a fun loving ceremony). Matt's godmother did a reading during the ceremony.

As for Duckstein, we had been going there for a number of years and just loved the place. Being beer drinkers, the beer was also good, nice wine, great food and the staff were also so friendly!
We had a fun loving reception. During entry of the bridal party one of Matt's groomsmen (my brother) wore a go pro strapped to his chest to capture the entry of the bride and groom and all the speeches. My father's speech was very short and more to the point that my husband to be can pour a good beer! The night was followed by a lot of dancing!
Our catering at Duckstein was a cocktail/canapé reception which gave our guests more chance to mingle with each other. Duckstein arranged plenty of couch seating with wine barrels and tall bar tables for our guests to gather around.

Paul of In Sight Photography was amazing to work with, very professional. He's relaxed nature made it so easy for us and most of the time we forgot he was there. He truly has a great eye for detail. We are in love with our photos.
