My wedding dress was one of the first things I started looking first as I was so excited I ended up choosing one of the first I tried on. I ended up looking at sooooo many more but went back to the original. I loved that it was old world, classic and feminine. And comfy

The ceremony was at 3.00pm and went for about 30 minutes, we then had family and group shots on the beach. The Bridal Party then went off for more photos. We had 70 quests. Just family and close friends. I felt it was the perfect number.

We are both Marine Scientists and therefore love the ocean. We knew from the start we wanted to get married on the beach. We love the Capes Region and we have been on getaways there a lot through-out our relationship (6 years). When we looked at all available venues we loved Bunkers Beach Cafe for its natural beauty and how it blends into the dunes. That is why we chose this as our venue.

The reception started at 6.00pm and we arrived at 7.00pm. We had a traditional sit down dinner. I liked the idea that it would give me and my new husband time to relax during the hype of the night.

I wanted a whimsical, light theme. I suppose I didn't have a theme actually. I just wanted to try and capture the beauty of the ocean on a summers evening. Light colours, floaty materials. We bought all the candle holders and had lots of candels everywhere with some of the other decorations = all set up by Jodi from Bling Events Studio. We also had gorgeous flowers. It looked so beautiful and magical.

Ben organized the DJ. He also chose all the music for all the special moments (me walking down the aisle, our first dance, our entrance etc). He did such a good job! He has great taste in music.
