Interview with the Bride
We gave ourselves 18 months to plan the wedding. We didn’t set a budget, but think we probably spent more than we’d like to have. We ended up with 75 guests.
We chose Pullman Bunker Bay Resort, as the bride’s parents own a house in the areas and so for sentimental reasons and due to the fact that it was a beautiful location in rain or sunshine.
We chose to have a cocktail-style reception as we wanted a very relaxed day. It was very social. Our overall theme was Downsouth vibes, relaxed, soft pastels, native plants and a little boho.
This meant we added lots of elements like native plants, mismatched jars, laces, candles and paper lanterns. All enhanced by the love and laughter of our friends and family.
The only thing I would change is that I would definitely set a budget. We went to a retreat in Margs for our honeymoon. It was stunning and luxurious.
We used Coast To Country Weddings quite a bit to help us plan.
