We gave ourselves 1.5 years to plan our wedding and we spent all up $70,000. We had 93 guests with 2 infants and 2 children- they were entertained by the photo booth!

The gifts we bought for our wedding party was - Bridesmaids- Gift boxes filled with personalised glasses, personalised compact mirrors, wedding jewellery and matching robes. Groomsmen- personalised flasks.

We wrote our own vows as a surprise for each other, they ended up being very similar!! We planned our whole ceremony together with our celebrant and incorporated special time just for us during the ceremony when our witnesses were signing. We also made our grandparents who are no longer with us a part of our day- we even had small frames with pictures of our lost grandparents on the brides bouquet so they were always with us throughout the day.

The theme for our wedding day was rustic/ vintage with blush and burgundy- navy bridesmaid dresses/ charcoal groomsmen. In my bouquet I had a colour scheme of blushes and burgundy- we used beautiful sandstone roses and burgundy dahlias with hydrangea greenery and other foliage and small flowers (carnations)- these flowers matched the flowers on our wedding invitations and we have a love for roses so wanted this to be a focus of our flowers.

We love Down South and particularly Margaret River/ Yallingup area- we even got engaged down south so we knew we had to get married there as well!! We looked at many locations but knew straight away as soon as we arrive in Aravina that we would get married there!

We chose our ceremony and reception at the same place because we didn't want out guests to have to travel between places, plus the food is amazing!

While we went to have our wedding party photos, the guests played lawn games including Bocci and Giant Connect 4. They also had canapes and drinks. Ceremony started at 4:30, Canapés until 6:30 when the reception started, entrees at 7, mains at 8, speeches, cake, first dance, bride and groom left at 11:45 and concluded at 12pm.

  We had the usual entrees, mains and wedding cake with speeches from our best man, maid of honour and fathers of the bride and groom. We had our first dance where almost every single guest got up and joined us. The groom even organised for a special song to be played later in the night that was personal just for us to dance too, no one else danced for this song, just the 2 of us and it was an amazing few minutes of the evening! We wouldn't change a thing! We planned the entire wedding between ourselves and wanted it to be a surprise for all our guests. We did have a few hiccups with things not arriving on time- but definitely don't sweat the small stuff because we look at it now and no one knew or would remember the fact that we didn't have the place cards that we originally planned to have. Enjoy every minute of planning, preparation and the day- I know everyone says the day flies by but it really does. It is over in a blink of an eye and I would go back and do it all again in a heart beat- enjoy every minute but take a few minutes throughout the day and night and just look at all the people that have travelled to celebrate this day with you and find a minute or two to spend with your new wife/ husband and just absorb the amazing overwhelming atmosphere and feelings of the day!

 We honeymooned in Japan

 We used the Coast to Country Weddings Website to look at companies that would be available for us and compared these continually through our planning. We used it is as a great guide/ go to for ideas, inspiration and contacts!
