How does losing weight for the big day affect your dress?

Last week a bride asked me this question:

"How much time do you need to allocate for dress alterations? I am using an amazing nutritional cleansing system and am having amazing results, but I am afraid I will need lots of work done on my dress if I keep this up!"

My advice would be: you need to find a dressmaker and make an appointment to see them with your dress ASAP and see what they can do with the dress you have. You can never have too much time.

Also be aware if you have already bought the dress, and lost a lot of centimetres, some dresses just can't have that many alterations made to them. It may either have to be remade (which will cost a few dollars) or you'll need to buy a new dress because the alterations can't be done to the extent you need them to.

So, speak to a dressmaker ASAP.
