Looking for a unique wedding venue? Need help finding local suppliers?
Enjoy a relaxing day out in the country and plan your wedding at the same time at the Ferguson Valley Wedding Tour 2015 – Sunday 12th July at the Dardanup Hall. The Wedding Tour incorporates a traditional wedding expo style event at the Dardanup Hall with a free hop-on hop-off bus tour departing the Hall every 30mins to take you around to a selection of Ferguson Valley wedding venues – kind of like an open day. You can visit and check out each venue either on the bus tour or you can grab a free map from the Hall and drive yourself.
The second annual Ferguson Valley Wedding Tour is shaping up to be even bigger and better than last year's very successful event. Our new venue, the Dardanup Hall, will be packed to the brim with local wedding suppliers, styled displays, live music, food for purchase, a full wedding marquee from Lonsdale Party Hire, car displays, a chill-out zone and heaps of info on local Ferguson Valley wedding venues, accommodation, and places to visit. The Hall is open from 10am until 3pm on Sunday 12th of July for you to enjoy – entry is free and parking is plentiful! The Hall is located on the corner of Little St and Ferguson Rd in the township of Dardanup, only 15mins from Bunbury/Eaton/Australind, 20mins from Donnybrook, 1hr from Mandurah and 1.5hrs from Perth. Just look for the marquee in the parking lot on the day!
The other big part of the day is about showcasing the local wedding venues and the natural beauty of the area. We really believe that the Ferguson Valley is a hidden wedding gem. We have a great range of wedding venues, from restaurants to wineries to breweries to bush retreats, all run by very friendly and flexible people who understand the meaning of country hospitality, and with a backdrop of rolling green hills, stunning natural forests, farmland and fresh air.
We want to show you everything our Valley has to offer! We do this by organising the free hop-on hop-off bus tour – buses depart from the Dardanup Hall every 30mins (first bus departs 10am, last bus departs 12noon) and visit each of the wedding venues in turn, in a loop. So you can choose to hop off the bus at any of the venues that interest you, knowing that another bus will be coming around in 30mins to pick you up again.
You don't have to get off at every venue, and you will not be left behind! Buses continue to loop around during the afternoon to keep you moving through the wedding venues. All buses return to the Dardanup Hall. If you plan on visiting each of the venues, you will need to get on either the 10am or 10.30am bus or you'll run out of time. Seats are not reserved or sold, it's just a matter of making sure you're at the Dardanup Hall and ready to get on the bus to go.
You can use the Ferguson Valley Weddings map to determine in advance which venues are worth visiting for you – for example if you are planning a large sit down wedding then only visit those venues which have enough capacity for you. If you don't get a chance to visit all of the venues on the bus tour then you can always return another day (appointments essential with any of the venues for a wedding consult outside of Tour Day).
If you would prefer to be the master of your own destiny, you can pick up a copy of the Ferguson Valley Weddings map at the Dardanup Hall and drive yourself around the Ferguson Valley to visit the wedding venues of your choice. They will be open and answering questions from 10am until 4pm on the day. Some of the venues will also have styled displays – for example Evedon Park will be fully set up as if for a wedding, and many will be offering tastings, food for sale, and more.
