What are your wedding supplier priorities?

We posted a question up on our Facebook page, which reaches out to over 3000 brides in regional WA. We asked "Out of interest, what are the top five most important services for YOU on your wedding day?" We asked the brides to list their services, in priority order with the most important service to them at the top.

Seven brides responded to our post. The results were interesting but not particularly surprising! The dress/attire got three number one picks, and photographer two number one picks, and then one number one pick each for venue and celebrant. Perhaps having the celebrant as the number one pick is a bit unusual, but a local celebrant commented and said how glad they were, that it is someone's number one, as without a celebrant there is nothing to celebrate! A good point.

Every single bride had photography in their top five. This can be one of the biggest expenses on the day with the photographers bill often reaching thousands of dollars. We even know of one couple who spent more on photography than on the entire rest of their reception. Every bride bar one mentioned their venue and/or food in their top five.

Reading through these might help you plan and organise your budget. Looking at these lists, you can see where the main expenses might come from: venue, photographer, and not just your dress but the bridesmaids and suits and flowergirls attire.
